Bat Girl

Ed took Matilda out trick-or-treating on Halloween while Evelyn and Mommy were still in the hospital. She went as a bat with little wings and everything. They managed to get to a grand total of two neighboring houses. Matilda loved carrying her little halloween pail, but apparently hated when anything got in it. So Daddy spent most of the time picking up candy Matilda had thrown on the ground.

The Yearling

Yesterday Matilda celebrated her first birthday in Door County, WI with Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy and Daddy.
She wore a pretty party dress:



She opened lots of presents and played with her new toys:



She went for a swim in the lake with Daddy and Romper and Laddie:


She had a soak in the hot tub:


And she capped off her day with her favorite foods for dinner--watermellon, carrots, salmon and fries and finally had a Pink Lady strawberry cake Mommy made.
